Goat Meadow Trailhead and Snowplay Area
Camp Review
I stayed here many times now and am grateful I found a safe and free camp spot for my Yosemite Valley objectives.
What I Learned
We parked next to an RV that had its noisy generator on until midnight. It was quite annoying. My friends all switched their tents to the other side of the car away from the RV to decrease the loud noise. The downside of camping at a place that doesn’t have camp hosts.
Due to the generator or jet lag, I couldn’t sleep well. I got two hours of in-and-out sleep experience and was quite tired to start the day.
In the morning, while I was waiting for my friends to pack up their tents and what not, I had a nice quiet breakfast in my car—gas station banana bread with a frappuccino. It was pretty yummy and I had a fun time reading the assigned chapters for Howl’s Moving Castle.
Friends
Sarah, Louie, and Darlene came camping with me and they stayed in their individual tents. I think all four of us had not the greatest quality of sleep for differing reasons.

What Happened?
We stayed at this parking lot Friday night to help us get a few hours of sleep before heading off to Yosemite Valley. We arrived around 11pm and left at 3:30am.
