Los Alamitos Creek Trail

Route Review

  • Itching for some outdoors time on a weekend where Cassie was under the weather, I went out for a quick bike ride into Almaden.

  • I rode down the Los Alamitos Creek Trail all the way to the end, took a look at a neighborhood that I might be interested in moving to, then rode back.

  • I’ve cycled and walked this trail many times, but today was particularly beautiful with the crispy fall leaves littering the well-paved trail.

  • There were others enjoying the trail, but there were only a few places where I needed to slow down.

Lesson Learned

  • Probably because I took it easy on this ride, my right Achilles injury did not flare up. The bike made minor irregular sounds, but overall, it rode well after the tuning I did the night before this ride.

Media Consumed

What Happened?

14.1 miles, 1 hr 9 mins, 242 ft of ascent

I went out for a quick jaunt to Almaden before cycling back. I had tuned the bike the night before, hoping to get rid of all squeaks and I think I succeeded. The bike rode smoothly, and I enjoyed myself greatly. Due to work, I had not been able to bike to work this previous week, and it was just nice getting back, riding a bit, and feeling the wind in my hair.
