Franklin K. Lane Grove
Hike Review:
The Franklin K. Lane Grove was well maintained trail that looped around to itself.
The trail was clean with no trash to be seen, though some trash was strewn across the parking lot.
There were so many trees that it was dark and GPS had a tough time tracking the path that I took.
There were small streams that seemed to come directly out of the earth.
Even though it was so dark, there seemed to be plants all around.
What Happened?
.5 miles, 19 mins, 46 ft of ascent
While heading to my campground for the night, I decided to stretch my legs and hike this short trail. I entered the familiar entrance and hiked the short .5 mile loop in less than 20 minutes. But as I recall the hike, the hike felt like it took less than 5 minutes because there was so much to see and I didn’t ever get bored, even though I wasn’t listening to music, podcasts, or audio books. I took various pictures and videos of mushrooms, streams, and trees.
Despite its short length, I found the trail to be delightful.
