Rancho San Vincente
I hiked here as it is a quick hike in South San Jose that I could sneak in after work.
There were many bikers, as usual, but once I got up to where the trail splits, it wasn’t so bad. Actually after the split, I don’t think I saw more than half a dozen people, which was surprisingly empty. I hiked this trail in quick fashion, while enjoying a podcast, then went home and had dinner.
What I Learned:
I felt that it was almost impossible to get a beautiful wide angle shot at this park, due to how barren it is, but I was pretty happy with the lead photo of this post.
Hike Review:
This park is probably best for mountain bikers. For hikers, it’s just an okay park.
There are lots of bikers, so one needs to be alert, which isn’t very peaceful.
The views on the side opposite the parking lot is pretty, though very suburban.
There is almost no shade, so a hat is a must.
