Camp Review:

  • The camp was half way full and it was decently quiet, until the generators started going off on two RVs.

  • Having said that, because I know this is a legally legit place to sleep for the night, I feel lucky that I found this place on freecampsites.net.

  • The spot I ended up parking in was flat and decently private.

  • The single portable toilet was one of the cleanest ones I’ve ever seen.

 

What Happened?

I wanted to camp close to Yosemite and found this parking lot right outside the Yosemite southern entrance. Because I wanted to start hiking around 4:30am, this meant that sleeping at this spot would mean I could wake up at 3am, compared to driving at 12:30am from San Jose.
