Malibu Creek State Park

Camp Review

  • We slept at this park for one night.

  • The campsite was loud with many campsites having loud conversations well past the quiet time.

  • The sites did not have much privacy and were bunched a bit close together.

  • The site we got (#21) had parking which was not level.

  • The bathrooms were clean; the showers required tokens which could be gotten at the gatehouse.

What I Learned

  • The gates to the park are closed after 10 pm, so there is no entrance for campers who arrive late. Due to this, we were unable to sleep at the park for the first night.

What Happened?

After missing the gate close time for the first night, we arrived the next day to at least sleep one night. When we arrived at 9 pm, we found that there were many fellow campers having a great time. Well past 10 pm, they were still having loud conversations, but we went to sleep anyway.

In the morning, we woke up to singing birds and a quiet campground. We slowly got up and enjoyed the morning before heading for a short hike.
