Niles to Quarry Lakes Regional Park

Trail Review:

Friends:

  • We went cycling with the Saito and Prives families. Everyone just seems to get along, and we just had a great time cycling, eating ice cream, and scarfing down lunch.

What Happened?

5.4 miles, 1 hr 41 min, 86 ft of ascent

The families met up at the Niles Depot and cycled along the Alameda Creek Trail to Quarry Lakes Regional Park. Cycling on the small/non-existent sidewalks on the streets in the Niles area was a little sketch, but there was barely any car traffic, so it wasn’t too bad. Once we got on the trail, everything seemed pretty easy—path-finding was easy; cycling was easy; traffic was easy.

Once we reached the West end of Quarry Lakes Regional Park, we entered the park and enjoyed the views of the Quarry Lakes, before returning to the Alameda Creek Trail and cycling back to Niles for some ice cream.
