Belgatos Park

Recently, after privately complaining to myself that there were no good trails to explore near my home, I found a couple of gems. This is one of them.

This park has a short trail that goes to Heintz Open Space Preserve, so I walked that trail. As I hiked, I found this park to be lovely. It’s probably because it’s funded by the city of Los Gatos (where rich people live)—the trails were clean, well maintained, and almost everyone on the trail wore masks when others were close by.

What I Learned:

  • Next time, I should just park in the neighborhood outside the park gates, so that I don’t have to sweat the gate locking/closing time.

Hike Review:

  • There are many unmapped trails all over the park.

  • The trails are bike friendly, and most of the trails would be even more fun on a bike than on foot.
