Santa Teresa County Park - Stiles Ranch Loop
Hike Review
I have hiked Santa Teresa County Park many times, but I don’t think I ever wrote about the loop you can make by hiking the Stile Ranch Trail and Fortini Trail.
The hiking is harder than it should be due to the uneven ground. The trail is mostly packed dirt, but there are tons of rocks along the trail that make foot placement a bit more challenging than usual.
The trails are single-track trails with one small bridge crossing. There is plenty of room on either side of the trail for passing.
There is parking for about 10 cars at the Stiles Ranch Entrance, and on this day, there was only one other car there.
There was no trash on the trail, and it was pristine.
What Happened?
Our girls were at school on this Saturday, so Cassie and I decided to go for a short hike before picking them up. Since we were in Almaden, we drove to Santa Teresa County Park and quickly hiked this short loop.
I love hiking any trails with Cassie, and today was no different. The hike was pleasant, the conversation was interesting, and the air was crisp and cool. We were a little worried that we would take too long, but we finished with 20 minutes to spare.
