Hike Review:

  • We did not make it to the Preserve as it is surrounded by private property with no public access.

What I Learned:

  • Although there was a clear trail that others had used, I decided to turn back when we saw the “No Trespassing” sign to set a good example for my kids. It’s too bad as satellite maps showed me no other way into the preserve.

What Happened?

.62 miles, 26 mins, 42 ft of ascent

We parked the car at the Los Alamitos Creek Trail and walked the quarter mile to the start of the marked trail on GaiaGPS.

Unfortunately, as we started to head uphill, we came across a no trespassing sign, and seeing that we were not on public land yet, turned back. It’s too bad, as some of the satellite imagery showed some cool looking rock outcroppings at the top of the hill.
