Shark’s Fin
Shark’s Fin was the first thing I sought out when I drove into Alabama Hills. I found it to be quite boring, actually, except for watching the rock climbers scale up the rock. But I could’ve done that from the road, with a binocular.
The rest of the trail was flat, boring, dusty, and hot.
What I Learned:
Maybe I should learn rock climbing, so that I can be like one of the cool kids scaling up Shark’s Fin.
Even though it’s only March, it was hot and barren at Shark’s Fin.
.7 miles, 22 min, 174 ft of ascent
Hike Review:
I had planned on walking a 5 mile loop, but it was dusty and hot, even in March. I walked back after scampering up rocks past Shark’s Fin.
Hike was not fun and I don’t recommend it.
