Shark’s Fin

_DSF6508-Enhanced.jpg

Shark’s Fin was the first thing I sought out when I drove into Alabama Hills. I found it to be quite boring, actually, except for watching the rock climbers scale up the rock. But I could’ve done that from the road, with a binocular.

The rest of the trail was flat, boring, dusty, and hot.

What I Learned:

  • Maybe I should learn rock climbing, so that I can be like one of the cool kids scaling up Shark’s Fin.

  • Even though it’s only March, it was hot and barren at Shark’s Fin.

Hike Review:

  • I had planned on walking a 5 mile loop, but it was dusty and hot, even in March. I walked back after scampering up rocks past Shark’s Fin.

  • Hike was not fun and I don’t recommend it.
