Uvas Canyon County Park—Waterfall Loop and Triple Falls
Hike Review
We’ve hiked at Uvas before.
Friends
The Absher family accompanied us to Uvas and it was awesome to see how much more fit they were since the last time we had hiked together. As usual, they were excellent company with fun conversations and lots of sharing of laughter.
What Happened?
With the rains that had sent us to indoor activities earlier in the week, we decided to head to Uvas to enjoy what we assumed would be large waterfalls—and they were large!
We parked at 10 AM and hiked in the opposite direction that we usually hike, as Mike made the point that the dusty fire road would be more fun going up than down. We took our time enjoying the waterfalls, mushrooms, and the green of the forest—as much as each other.
When we finished the waterfall loop, we decided to hike to Triple Falls, which was a fall that none of us had seen before. Unlike the loop, it had a quarter mile of trail that was fully exposed, but other than that felt similar to the rest of the hike. Triple Fall did not disappoint and the hike back to the car was easy enough, as it was mostly downhill.
