Inyo Dispersed Camping

Camp Review:

  • I camped at a dispersed camping spot south of Mono Lake. This wasn’t really a camping spot (no fire ring), but because of my truck camper, it worked just fine.

  • The site was not level at all, but at least it was very quiet at night.

  • There were no mosquitos, but lots of other bugs, such as day flies and moths.

What Happened?

I just needed a place to sleep close to the east Yosemite entrance as I had just hiked to the top of Mount Watkins, and was planning on hiking Mount Dana. I found this spot next to Mono Lake thanks to freecampsites.net.

The site served me well and it also afforded me a beautiful view the next morning.
