Bear Creek Summit

Hike Review:

  • As previously mentioned, this park is pretty darn nice.

  • Near the summit, there are quite a bit of debris from trees that were chopped down.

  • There is no view from the summit, as it is surrounded by foliage.

  • The trail is fully shaded, which was really nice.

  • I ran into the same doe that I saw last time!

  • On T-Mobile, I had at least 1 bar of LTE the entire time (most of the time, 5G).

What I Learned:

  • I had done a grueling set of squats yesterday, so I had trouble walking at a fast pace. Still, 2.5 mph is progress from earlier in the summer.

  • There were so few people on the trail. I only saw 3 groups of people, which was a tiny bit eerie.

What Happened?

7.4 miles, 2 hrs 57 mins, 2081 ft of ascent

After a week of polluted air (due to fires) dampening my hiking activities, I was determined to go hiking. So I decided to hike up to Bear Creek Summit. The hike itself wasn’t too hard, and I didn’t even have issues with the heat, as the day was pretty temperate, and there was shade the entire time.

The highlights of this trail were seeing that Webb Creek was still flowing this late in the summer, and that I ran into the same doe (I’m assuming) as the last time I hiked this trail (I saw her at the same place).
